Jersey Shore Bahá’í Institute

2006-2007

Dear Friends,

The Jersey Shore Bahá’í Institute welcomes you, your family and friends to another wonderful year of spiritual growth and education classes.  The Institute will again be located at the Program Activity Center of the Monmouth Council of Girl Scouts in Farmingdale on Yellow Brook Road. It is sponsored by the Local Spiritual Assembly of Hamilton Township.

Curriculum

The National Spiritual Assembly of the United States has provided all the curricula, tools and materials needed for the Institute.  The overall theme of the Institute will be Understanding the Cycles of Growth: Arise for the Triumph of Our Cause.  All classes will be studying this curriculum.   To review these materials, visit this website:  www.education.usbnc.org

Any adults who are interested may also study Ruhi Books 1 or 3 led by Nancy Wetstein. It will be held at the same time as the regular adult class. Please contact Nancy if you are interested in studying these or any other Ruhi books.  All participants must commit to attend the Institute regularly in order to complete any book.

Music

Music will continue to be part of our opening activities.  The Music Committee will be formed to help organize the musical portion of the Institute.  All participants are welcome to sign up for music for any session.  We would love to include any new Bahá’í songs that you would like to teach us.  Please see Kevin for more information on this and if you need instrumental back up for your songs.  

Fellowship Breakfast

A Fellowship Breakfast will take place at the beginning of Institute session at 9:45.  Healthy breakfast foods such as bagels, fruit, nuts, juice and water are encouraged.   Coffee and tea will be provided by the Harasty family.  Volunteers who provide food are asked to set up at 9:30 when the building opens.  The Bahá’í Group of Matawan will provide paper goods.  There will be a sign-up for participation.

Children’s Classes

If you have any questions about what class your child will be attending, please call Dee.  Friends of all ages are welcome at ALL Institute sessions in ALL classes.  Please encourage your child to bring someone along.

Schedule

The attached schedule will provide details regarding dates and schedule. In general we will have the Institute every other Sunday however due to scheduling conflicts; this is not always the case.  Please check your schedule every month.
