Becoming a Bahá'í There are two simple steps to becoming a Bahá'í: belief in Bahá'u'lláh and enrollment in the Bahá'í community. The first step is personal while the second step is administrative. A Bahá'í is a follower of Bahá'u'lláh, the prophet founder of the Bahá'í Faith. An individual becomes a Bahá'í when he or she believes that Bahá'u'lláh is the Messenger of God for this age. After accepting Bahá'u'lláh as the source of guidance for one's life, the next step is to become a member of the Bahá'í community. |
| One does this by signing a
declaration form (see link at bottom of page). By signing the declaration form one states
one's belief in Bahá'u'lláh and one's willingness to obey His laws and His institutions.
There are no restrictions, fees or ceremonies associated with enrollment. If you think you are interested in becoming a Bahá'í, but don't feel you know enough, you may visit the Bahá'í Faith section to find out more. For personal contact, you may visit our Events section to see what's available. If you already know in your heart that you are a Bahá'í, you can print a copy of the declaration form. |
