Daystar -- Baha'i Music Ensemble

Founded in the summer of 2002, Daystar has become a regular attraction at Baha'i gatherings around the New Jersey. In addition to perfoming locally within the Monmouth/Ocean County area, Daystar has performed at various commemorations in Somerset, Princeton, and Teaneck. Besides voices we have a variety of instrumentalists as well, including bass, guitar, banjo, woodwinds, and percussion. The group is presently rehearsing music of a number of genres, such as gospel, traditional hymns, and Baha'i songs and writings set to music.

Membership is open to anyone wishing to participate in a serious musical endeavor. Rehearsals usually follow JBSI classes, about every other Sunday.. For information, call the Director, Karyn Sochaki, at 732-264-5414.
